Mark Driscoll was born on October 11, 1970, and graduated from Highline High School in Seattle. Raised Catholic, he became a Christian as a college freshman in the fall of 1989 at Washington State University, where he received a B.A. in Speech Communications. In 1992 he married his high school sweetheart, Grace, whom he had dated since 1988.
Pastor Mark and Grace founded Mars Hill Church in Seattle in October 1996. The church started as a small Bible study in their living room and has since grown to include over six thousand people. The church meets in seven different locations throughout the Puget Sound region, with twenty weekly services broadcast via satellite from the Ballard campus. In 2008, Outreach magazine named Mars Hill Church the second most innovative church in America…

Pastor Steven grew up in Moncks Corner, South Carolina where at age 16 he realized God's plan for him to start a life-changing church in a metropolitan city.
This vision became a tangible reality when Elevation was founded on the faith of 8 families who risked everything - sold houses, quit jobs and moved to Charlotte believing that God would turn this city upside down for his glory through the local church. That risk has resulted in a remarkable return.
After four years, we've grown to more than 6,000 in attendance each week between three campuses and we've seen over 3,000 people receive Christ. In 2007, 2008 and 2009 our church was named one of the 10 fastest growing churches in America.
The heart of Pastor Steven's message is revolutionary faith and how to approach every experience from a visionary perspective. As a young leader, his unique passion for seeing God's purposes fulfilled is igniting a fire here in our city and beyond.
Pastor Steven’s first book, Sun Stand Still, will be released this fall by Waterbrook Multnomah Publishing.
Pastor Steven attended North Greenville University, received a B.A. in communications and went on to complete a Master of Divinity from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He currently resides in the Charlotte area with his wife, Holly, and two sons Elijah and Graham.
